“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind to do what ought not to be done” Romans 1:28
Our world is in moral freefall, and many people feel like an election was stolen from them. They are uncertain of what the future may bring under the new administration while the supporters of Biden sing his praises and seem to believe there will be unity. Unfortunately, the unity they want is really a call for anyone who disagrees with them to bend a knee and approve of their relative moral standards.
No matter who our leaders are, we as Christians and especially fathers are called to contend for the faith. 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 says, Be Watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. As Christian fathers we need to stand firm in our faith, the word of God is unchanging, and we must teach it to our children and contend for it in our daily lives. While it is our responsibility to cast knowledgeable votes for those running for office no president or elected official can get anyone into the kingdom of heaven and no political argument can change a heart. The fight starts in the home, and in our lives living out our faith in Christ. Let us Pray for our leaders, our nation and stand firm in our faith.
